How hip-hop has become a global phenomenon? Indeed, hip-hop has recently exploded since it has been more commercialized and seen through public figures. Not only is it about music and dance, but it also expresses other styles and artworks such as painting, graffiti, fashion clothing, and cinema. More than a music style, hip-hop is or rather has become a culture that lots of people want to appropriate to themselves, which incites me to wonder how it has shifted from subculture to mainstream culture and explore the evolution of its propaganda effect.
